ABOUT APECET

JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) was originally ‘The College of Engineering, Vizagpatnam’ at the time of its establishment in 1946. It is now a sprawling campus of 110 acres, green with mango trees in the fast developing Port city of Kakinada, East coast of peninsula India. Kakinada has a rich political literacy and cultural heritage passed on through generations This college became a constituent of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University w.e.f 02-10-1972 through an act of legislature along with other sister institutions under the control of the then Director of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

JNTUK, by virtue of the quality of its academic programmes, has consistently been ranked amongst the leading technical Universities in the country. The University has initiated many schemes to assure quality education to the students, career development of faculty members, progression of students towards higher education and generating career opportunities through the campus placement programmes in reputed organizations across the globe. The University is working dedicatedly towards the vision of producing quality technical graduates, competent teachers, scientists and leaders in the academics, research, industry and administration. On behalf of APSCHE, JNTUK has successfully conducted APECET 2014, APEAMCET 2016, APEAMCET 2017, APEAMCET 2018, APEAPCET 2019 ,APEAPCET 2020 and APEAPCET 2021. For APECET 2022, the Chairman is Prof G.VR.Prasada Raju, the Vice-Chancellor of JNTUK and the Convener is Prof A. Krishna Mohan, Professor of Computer Science Engineering.

AP ECET 2023 Exam Date

The examination will be for 200 Marks with 200 Objective type questions and the distribution of marks for each stream will be as follows:

Eligibility

To be eligible for AP ECET or to Attempt AP ECET Examination, the following criteria must be met:

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Qualifying Exam: They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State or any other Diploma from an AICTE approved institution recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy courses into the Courses corresponding to the Diplomas as given in the following Annexure.

They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses as given in the following Annexure.

Percentage: The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in APECET -2022 is 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects (three subjects for B.Sc. Mathematics) i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates.

Domicile: They should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

Note: Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

AP ECET 2023 Preparation Plan
