What is TSECET?

TS ECET stands for Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test A Common Entrance Test designated for Diploma and for B.Sc.(Mathematics) Degree Candidates in short as TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] – 2024 will be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education(TSCHE) for the academic year 2024-2025.

TSECET Score/Rank is use Manly for

    1. For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E/B.Tech Courses in both University and Private Un-aided Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority ) approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

    1. For lateral admission into 2nd year B. Pharmacy Course in both University and Private Un-aided Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority ) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

Eligibility

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen

 

Age Limit: The maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship is 25 years for OC candidates and 29 years for other candidates.

 

Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology / Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana State / Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh as equivalent there to for admission into relevant B.E / B.Tech. /B Pharmacy courses.

They should have passed three years B.Sc Degree Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent. However B.Sc (Mathematics) Degree Holders are not eligible for admission into B.Pharmacy Course.

 

Domicile: Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (w) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and its subsequent amendments.

 

Note : Mere appearing for TSECET-2023 and obtaining a rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfils the requirements laid down for admissions.

TS ECET 2023 Preparation Plan

  1. Know the Syllabus: Before starting your preparation, it is essential to know the syllabus and exam pattern. The TS ECET syllabus includes topics from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering subjects. Go through the official syllabus and understand the weightage of each subject.
  2. Make a Study Plan: Once you know the syllabus, make a study plan. Allocate time for each subject based on the weightage and give extra time for difficult topics. Try to cover the complete syllabus at least one month before the exam date.
  3. Practice Previous Year Question Papers: Solving previous year question papers and sample papers is an essential part of your preparation. It helps you understand the exam pattern, types of questions, and difficulty level. Also, it gives you an idea of the time management required for the actual exam.
  4. Take Mock Tests: Mock tests are an excellent way to evaluate your preparation level. It helps you identify your weak areas and improve them. Take as many mock tests as possible and try to solve them within the stipulated time.
  5. Focus on Time Management: Time management is crucial for any competitive exam. Practice solving questions within the given time limit. Also, divide your time equally among all subjects and topics.
  6. Revision: Revise the topics regularly. Make short notes and revise them frequently. This will help you remember the concepts for a longer duration.
  7. Stay Healthy: Don’t forget to take care of your health. Eat healthy, sleep well, and exercise regularly. A healthy body and mind will help you stay focused and motivated.
