Three Steps to Your Score

  1. Download your response sheet from ugcnet.nta.nic.in once released for your session
  2. Upload the PDF to the calculator above
  3. Click Analyze to see your total score, plus a full correct/wrong/unattempted table

How the Score Is Calculated

Total Marks = (Correct in Paper 1 × 2) + (Correct in Paper 2 × 2)

  • Correct: +2 marks
  • Wrong: 0 marks — no negative marking in UGC NET
  • Dropped question: full marks for everyone who attempted it

Paper 2 typically runs 100 questions for 200 marks, added to Paper 1’s 100 marks, for 300 total.

Where Manual Scoring Breaks Down

Because this paper spans labour legislation, industrial relations theory, HRM practices, and social security schemes — genuinely different knowledge areas — questions don’t always run in one predictable block, making it easy to lose your place while counting by hand. This tool avoids that entirely by matching each response to its actual Question ID rather than its position on the page.

Downloading Your Response Sheet

  • Go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Open the response sheet / answer key section once activated
  • Log in with your Application Number, DOB or password, and the security PIN
  • Download your question paper, response sheet, and provisional key — save them quickly, as access is usually removed within 2–3 days

Raising an Objection

  • 4-day window from the day the provisional key is published
  • ₹200 per question, non-refundable
  • Cite a recognised labour law statute, HRM textbook, or established industrial relations reference to support your objection
  • The final key cannot be challenged

Qualifying Marks

  • General category: 40% aggregate across both papers
